Yes. We work with trusted suppliers who share our commitment to quality and responsible sourcing.
What makes TAUPE HAIR different?
Our expertise comes from years of working with hair extensions professionally. Every product we stock is chosen based on what performs best behind the salon chair, not simply what's trending.
Can I colour the hair extensions?
Yes. Our hair extensions can be professionally coloured. For our textured hair extensions, we recommend lightening only up to a medium-light shade to help preserve the quality and integrity of the hair. We also advise having any colouring carried out by an experienced professional colourist for the best results.
How long does the hair last?
With proper care, TAUPE HAIR is designed to last a minimum of two years. Many of our customers enjoy their hair for much longer, with longevity depending on factors such as how often the hair is worn, the installation method and your maintenance routine.
Can I straighten or curl the hair?
Yes. All of our hair extensions can be styled with heat just like your own hair.
Does the hair shed or tangle?
Minimal shedding is normal with any extension hair. With proper installation and care, tangling and shedding should be kept to a minimum.
How many bundles do I need?
This depends on your desired length and fullness. We highly recommend asking your hairstylist, but as a general guide:
- 12"–16" — 2–3 bundles
- 20"–24" — 3–4 bundles
Will the hair match my natural hair?
Our textures are selected to blend naturally with a wide range of hair types. If you're unsure, our team or your hairstylist can help you choose the closest match.
How do I wash the hair?
Wash with a sulphate-free shampoo, follow with a moisturising conditioner and allow the hair to dry thoroughly before storing or sleeping.
Can I swim with the hair?
Yes, although we recommend rinsing the hair after swimming and using the correct aftercare products to maintain its quality.
What products should I use?
We recommend professional-quality, moisturising haircare products and always using a heat protectant before styling.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship worldwide.
When will my order be shipped?
All orders placed before 12pm (WAT) are dispatched on the same day (except Sundays and Mondays) unless stated otherwise on the product page. Delivery timeline after dispatch depends on the country it is being delivered to. Please see below.
How long does delivery take?
- United Kingdom: 3–5 working days after dispatch
- Europe: 4–5 working days after dispatch
- Other countries: 5–7 working days after dispatch
Can I return the hair?
Yes. Eligible items may be returned for store credit, provided the hair is unopened, unused and returned in its original packaging. For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of hair that has been opened, worn, installed or altered. Please note that we do not offer refunds.

Is the straightener suitable for all hair types?
Yes — our Silk Press Straightener is designed for a range of textures. Use lower heat on fine or damaged hair and always apply a heat protectant before styling.
How do I care for my styling tools?
Wipe plates clean after each use, store in a cool dry place, and avoid wrapping the cord tightly. Never use on wet hair.
When will my order be shipped?
Orders placed before 12:00pm (GMT) are dispatched the same day, excluding Saturdays and Sundays, unless otherwise stated on the product page. You can review the status of your order by logging into your account.
How long does delivery take?
Silk Press Straightener:
- United Kingdom: 1–3 working days
- Europe: 3–5 working days
- Rest of the World: 5–7 working days
Other TAUPE TOOLS products:
- United Kingdom: 3–5 working days

What is your returns policy on tools?
We offer a 14-day return period from the date your order is delivered. Items must be unused, in their original packaging, with all accessories included and proof of purchase. Approved returns are subject to a 5% restocking fee unless the item is confirmed faulty. Contact support@shoptaupe.com to start a return.
Can I cancel my order?
Once an order has been placed it cannot be cancelled, as processing begins immediately. Please review your order carefully before completing payment.
